Stepping Out is a provision for young adults with significant learning difficulties and/or emotional vulnerabilities who need a bespoke programme but who also have the desire and ability to be part of a social group. They are likely to be those for whom further education provision is either unavailable or not suitable.
Members benefit from a calm, stable environment which takes sensory needs into account.
The number of members is limited, and staffing levels are high, to maximise the amount of personalisation offered.
Unfortunately we cannot at this time meet the needs of young people with behaviour which endangers peers or staff, nor who have significant personal care requirements.
